East Renfrewshire Council are expecting significant disruption to all waste, recycling and street cleaning services between Wednesday 24 August and Thursday 1 September and then between Tuesday 6 September and Wednesday 14 September due to strike action by Unison and Unite members.

No bins will be collected between 6am on Wednesday 24 August and 6am on Thursday 1 September or on the September 6-14 strike dates. Some sports pitch lets and all grass-cutting services will also be suspended during the same periods.
